Earlier today, we reported that New York Attorney General Letitia James’s office has officially issued subpoenas for Ivanka Trump and Donald Trump Jr. over their civil investigation regarding the possibility that former President Donald Trump and the Trump Organization manipulated and misrepresented the values of its various properties to obtain more favorable loans.
The Trump family members were supposed to turn over records and testimony to James’s office, but they didn’t. So now, investigators are turning up the heat on former President Donald Trump himself, Don Jr., and Ivanka, according to The Daily Beast.
However…
ABC News reports that Ivanka and Junior have refused to comply with the subpoenas. They learned a lot from their father since the twice-impeached one-term President is good at stalling the courts out.

“A dispute has arisen between the OAG and the Individual Trump Parties regarding the Subpoenas,” a document filed Monday said.
According to the outlet, the filing indicates that Don Jr. and Ivanka Trump will file motions to quash the subpoenas as soon as Monday.
Trump and his company have denied any wrongdoing and have attacked the investigation as a political witchhunt.
“The ongoing criminal investigation has so far resulted in indictments against the Trump Organization and its longtime chief financial officer Allen Weisselberg on tax charges,” ABC reports. “Prosecutors said the company had been paying Weisselberg’s rent, living expenses, private school tuition, and car lease without proper reporting on tax returns. Both pleaded not guilty.”
Trump Organization CFO Allen Weisselberg turned himself in last year to the authorities after he was officially indicted on 15 different charges in connection to the investigation into the former President’s company.
The people in the ‘law and order’ former President’s orbit certainly have a way with casually ignoring subpoenas. If the email lady had done this, Trump and his Republican colleagues would have gotten out the torches and pitchforks. Also, Hillary Clinton was grilled under oath for over eleven hours without breaking a sweat.
