New Report Claims Son Of Pardon Recipient Gave Money To Trump’s Victory Campaign

He's pardoning the swamp.

For a guy who feigns to be against corruption, Donald Trump sure did drain the prison swamp to let a lot of corrupt people back on the streets. For example, there’s Judith Negron, who was sent to prison for aiding in a $200 million fraud case in what was then the country’s biggest mental health billing racket.

And then there’s former Illinois Gov. Rod Blagojevich, who was convicted in 2011. Blagojevich was sentenced to 14 years in prison after being found guilty on a series of charges stemming from two schemes: The extortion of a Chicago-area hospital and attempting to sell Barack Obama’s Senate seat.

Included in Trump’s pardoning and commuting blitz on Tuesday was former New York City police commissioner Bernard Kerik, who was sentenced to four years in 2010 for tax fraud and lying to the feds. Also, swamp monster Michael Milken — also known as the “junk-bonds king” — whose early-90s insider-trading conviction made him the face of white-collar crime. Milken is banned for life from working in the securities industry because he’s just that kind of an upstanding guy.

The Daily Beast reports that the son of one of Trump’s pardon recipients gave $85,000 to the Trump Victory Committee in August. His wife, Ashleigh, gave $50,000 that same month. On top of that, they made an in-kind contribution of nearly $75,000 in air travel.

The following month, Ben Pogue made an in-kind air travel contribution of $75,404.40. The couple also made several large donations to the Republican National Committee and each donated $5,600 to Donald Trump for President Inc.”

Just after placing her first donation to the Trump campaign, Ashleigh Pogue posted an Instagram photo of her and her husband posing with Donald Trump Jr. and his girlfriend, former Fox News personality Kimberly Guilfoyle, in the Hamptons.

This is so swampy:

The news outlet notes that the Pogues were not big campaign spenders prior to their generous donations to Trump. But Trump wants the public to believe that he’s been riding his rival, Joe Biden, because of corruption in Ukraine. Meanwhile, Trump is normalizing corruption in the U.S.
