New Report Claims Trump Sent A Warning To Jeff Sessions That He’ll Publicly Attack Him If He Runs For Senate

Is this even real life anymore?

Donal Trump’s former attorney general was the first Senator to publicly endorse his candidacy, and even though he fired Jeff Sessions, his loyalty has bizarrely remained steadfast. Sessions is running for his old Senate seat in Alabama, and in his new political ad he basically bends down and grabs his ankles for Trump. But, loyalty with Trump is a one-way street. Trump is reportedly warning Sessions privately that he will publicly attack him if the former attorney general chooses to run for the Senate in Alabama, according to the New York Times.

Doug Jones defeated Roy Moore, making him the first Democrat in a generation to win a Senate seat in Alabama. And Moore plans to run again, too. So, it’s going to be a circus when the election comes around in 2020.

Sessions caught Trump’s wrath after he recused himself from oversight of the Mueller investigation, and since then, the “president” just can’t let go. Sessions rightfully recused himself due to his involvement with Trump’s 2016 campaign which was a focus of the probe. It was probably the one thing Sessions has ever done right in his life and the “president” repeatedly lashed out at him for it.

The Trump administration is like a badly scripted soap opera:

Mr. Trump sent word to Mr. Sessions through allies that he would publicly attack him if he ran. And Mr. McConnell recently approached Mr. Trump, asking him whether his feelings about Mr. Sessions might have improved. The president said he was very much still opposed to Mr. Sessions and would make that clear if he had to, according to a person briefed on the discussions.

So, just imagine a primary between Moore, an alleged pedophile, and Sessions, who is sucking up to a man who despises him. Roy Moore had Trump’s blessing despite his controversies. Trump’s endorsement wasn’t too shocking, though, because the “president” is an admitted pussy-grabber so the bar is set pretty low anyway. Moore’s run was hugely embarrassing for the Republican Party and it looks like they’ll be forced to go down that path again.

To make this even more surreal, Trump on Saturday attended the game in Alabama and was joined by Rep. Bradley Byrne (R), who is  Sessions’ opponent.
