New Report Says Trump Thinks He’s “Surrounded By Snakes” And “Disloyal People”

Paranoid much?

Donald Trump has been busy hiring new staffers who have occupied the White House before under his administration. Trump has been on a firing blitz to rid anyone who complied with subpoenas in his Ukraine scandal from his presence. Hope Hicks has once again secured a spot in the administration while leaving her dignity at the revolving door. John McEntee, President Trump’s body man who was fired in 2018 amid an investigation into allegations of financial crimes, will lead the Presidential Personnel Office, and that somehow sounds about right for this chaotic “presidency.”

Former chief of staff John Kelly fired McEntee over security clearance issues, but that doesn’t seem to bother Trump for some reason. The Wall Street Journal reported that the security issues were related to online gambling problems and the mishandling of his taxes. As if that isn’t bad enough, McEntee was also the focus of a financial crimes investigation by the Department of Homeland Security.

According to a report on Axios, “Trump has increasingly become furious with what he sees as a federal government full of ‘never-Trumpers.'” Administration officials told the news outlet that Trump feels he’s surrounded by snakes and wants to clear out all the disloyal people.

Trump sees McEntee, who is 29-years-old, as the ultimate loyalist, and he has assigned him the powerful role of picking personnel across the federal government, according to Axios.

Trump, who demands loyalty, never returns that faithfulness. Trump ran his campaign on draining the swamp then filled it up with grotesque little swamp monsters. People like McEntee, for example. And Hope Hicks doesn’t get a pass either. Her judgment isn’t very sound since she was reportedly banging Corey Lewandowski at one time. The swamp is trying to breed.

And that makes President Projection’s tweet today kind of hilarious.

Trump is becoming increasingly more paranoid as he shuffles staffers in and out of the revolving door. But he’s right to feel that way, really. If you surrounded yourself with such awful creatures, you’d be paranoid, too. Maybe, just maybe, Trump should consider hiring the ‘best people.’
