New Report Suggests Bill Barr Appears To Be Taking Control Of Legal Matters That Trump Has An Interest In

As soon as Donald Trump’s hack job Senate impeachment trial finally concluded — signed, sealed, and delivered with a nice, pretty, bullshit “not guilty” bow wrapping up his undeserved acquittal — Trump’s jockeys have been champing at the bit to ensure that something like this never happens to their dear leader again.

And it seems that none other than the highest law enforcement officer in the land, United States Attorney General William Barr, is leading that pack.

It’s long been speculated that Bill Barr was far more an employee of Donald Trump rather than of the nation that he took an oath to — his behavior surrounding the Mueller investigation report, his relentless doting words towards the president, and recent decision to put a screeching halt on all investigations into presidential candidates until they’ve passed his arbitrary approval process was enough to raise more than a few suspicions.

But after a new report from NBC News, there’s is little doubt on the matter left to be had, as Bill Barr has now essentially become nothing more than Trump’s personal attorney.

“The U.S. attorney who had presided over an inconclusive criminal investigation into former acting FBI director Andrew McCabe was abruptly removed from that job last month in one of several recent moves by Attorney General William Barr to take control of legal matters of personal interest to President Donald Trump, according to multiple people familiar with the matter,” the report from NBC reads.

“But that wasn’t the first time senior political appointees reached into a case involving a former Trump aide, officials told NBC News,” it continues. “Senior officials at the Justice Department also intervened last month to help change the government’s sentencing recommendation for Trump’s former national security adviser, Michael Flynn, who pled guilty to lying to the FBI. While once the prosecutors in the case had recommended up to six months in jail for Flynn, their latest filing now says they believe probation would be appropriate.”

Trump made it crystal clear himself yesterday afternoon that he’s all but taken over this nation’s Department of Justice when he proudly declared from the Oval Office that he has an “absolute right” to essentially demand whatever he sees fit from the government entity.

It’s high time we realize folks that there are very few people in very few branches of government that work for anyone other than Donald Trump at this point.
