After literal months of waiting on bated breath as investigators collected and poured through their evidence against former President Donald Trump’s the proverbial poo is finally beginning to hit the fan.
This morning, Trump Organization Chief Financial Officer Allen Weisselberg was officially slapped with a slew of criminal charges in connection to the investigations — a move that many speculate is an effort by prosecutors to persuade Weisselberg to flip on the corrupt ex-president to soften the blow of his charges. All in all, it’s reported that the Trump Organization official is being charged with 15 different counts in an alleged fraud scheme after turning himself in to the authorities early this morning. Weisselberg was reportedly led into the courtroom in handcuffs where he pleaded not guilty to all of the charges lodged against him.

Thus far, while those around him are beginning to fall, former President Trump has yet to take a true hit. YET.

On the heels of the official charges against the organization’s CFO, New York District Attorney Letitia James has released a statement and, well, it doesn’t look good for the ex-president:
Today is an important marker in the ongoing criminal investigation of the Trump Organization and its CFO, Allen Weisselberg. In the indictment, we allege, among other things, financial wrongdoing whereby the Trump Organization engaged in a scheme with Mr. Weisselberg to avoid paying taxes on certain compensation. This investigation will continue, and we will follow the facts and the law wherever they may lead.”
In case you don’t get it, Donald, that means they’re not done. Far from it, actually. Just because Weisselberg has taken the fall for you, for now, does not mean that you will not fall too. It is only a matter of time. And I, and millions of other Americans, cannot wait.
