Things aren’t going well for the outgoing president as he was just impeached for the second time during his one-term in office. According to a report, Donald Trump is “isolated and angry” and refuses to pay his attorney, Rudy Giuliani, for services rendered when trying to overturn the election results.

According to the New York Times, Trump wanted to be in the House of Representatives to defend himself during his second impeachment hearing, but his advisers talked him out of it.

“Advisers said that Mr. Trump had to be dissuaded from going to the House floor to try to defend himself during Wednesday’s impeachment proceedings, something he wanted to do during his first impeachment in December 2019, advisers said,” the newspaper reports.

Trump is still considering self-pardoning himself, despite warnings from advisers.

“The president has also left open the possibility of pardoning himself, despite concern from Mr. Cipollone and warnings from outside advisers that he would inflame investigators who are already pursuing him,” the news outlet reports.

“Mr. Trump has never been more isolated than this week,” the report continues. “The White House is sparsely staffed, according to people who went to work there on Wednesday. Those who did go to work tried to avoid the Oval Office.”

Trump doesn’t appear to have much backing for his Senate trial.

“More and more staff members have quit, and the White House Counsel’s Office is not preparing to defend him in the Senate trial,” the report adds. “His political adviser, Jason Miller, posted on Twitter a poll from one of the campaign’s pollsters, John McLaughlin, that was intended to show the president’s grip on the party, as House Republicans debated their votes.”

It sounds like Jason Miller is trying to soothe Trump’s massive but fragile ego with a poll to show the narcissistic outgoing president that he still has power. Trump has been deplatformed on the Internet across the board, and even his Snapchat account has been permanently banned. Trump is apparently on his own with nowhere else to go to peddle his false claims of widespread voter fraud. It’s a self-inflicted wound that won’t heal in the near future.
