Officials Reportedly Explain Why Trump Went To The Underground Bunker And It Doesn’t Match POTUS’ Story

How unsurprising.

Donald Trump — the man who his supporters consider to be an alpha-male — retreated to the underground bunker in the White House to hide from American citizens who have taken to the streets to protest against George Floyd’s murder by police officers. Trump also had the lights surrounding the White House extinguished. The Emperor has no clothes — but most of us noticed.

Trump was mocked relentlessly online and otherwise, but then he hatched a plan. Trump decided to explain why he went to the bunker during an interview with Fox News’ Brian Kilmeade. Trump’s story of events, of course, just wasn’t believable.

“I go down. I’ve gone down two or three times, all for inspection,” Trump insisted. “And you go there — someday you may need it. But you go there, and I went down. I looked at it. It was during the day. It was not a problem, and I read about it It was like a big thing. There was never a problem. We never had a problem. Nobody ever came close to giving us a problem.”

“So you’re telling me, Mr. President, they didn’t say to you, ‘You have to go downstairs. My responsibility is your welfare?’ They didn’t limit you at all in the house?” Kilmeade asked.

“Nope, they didn’t tell me that at all,” Trump said. “But they said it would be a good time to go down. ‘Take a look, because maybe sometime you’re going to need it’ . . . I was down for a very very short period of time — very, very short period of time. I can’t tell you who went with me, but a whole group of people went with me as an inspecting factor. I was back-up, and Brian it was during the day. It wasn’t during the night. I think they reported during the night.”

Well, that story is just not true.

Trump was reportedly rushed to the bunker that evening after a group of protesters hopped over temporary barricades set up near the Treasury Department grounds, according to arrest records and people familiar with the incident, the Washington Post reports.

The security move, according to the report, came after multiple people crossed over fences that had been erected to create a larger barrier around the White House complex at around 7:00 p.m.

And according to the New York Times, Melania Trump felt anxious about the protests and opted at the last minute not to travel to Florida for the rocket launch on Saturday. Instead, Melania, and Barron, joined Donald in the bunker for about an hour.

Donald Trump lights fires then runs away from them so he won’t get hurt.
