Early Friday morning, Donald Trump took to Twitter to echo Walter Headley, the former Miami police chief who was regarded as one of the most destructive racists of the Civil Rights era, to say, “When the looting starts, the shooting starts.” Headley said that in 1967, and Trump tweeted those same words on Friday to target demonstrators. The current president is unraveling before our eyes amid a national crisis — and all because he got fact-checked by Twitter. Trump can’t even be original with his racism; he has to copy a notorious racist’s words from the sixties.
So, former President Barack Obama did what Donald Trump couldn’t do following the murder by a racist Minnesota cop of a black man, George Floyd, an incident that has gripped our country.
“This shouldn’t be ‘normal’ in 2020 America. It can’t be ‘normal.’ If we want our children to grow up in a nation that lives up to its highest ideals, we can and must be better,” Obama said in a statement that he tweeted out on Friday following Trump’s call to murder protesters.
“It will fall mainly on the officials of Minnesota to ensure that the circumstances surrounding George Floyd’s death are investigated thoroughly and that justice is ultimately done,” Obama wrote.
“But it falls on all of us, regardless of our race or station — including the majority of men and women in law enforcement who take pride in doing their tough job the right way, every day — to work together to create a ‘new normal’ in which the legacy of bigotry and unequal treatment no longer infects our institutions or our hearts,” he added.

Obama: insight, understanding, compassion, hope.
Trump: trashy tweets, including a threat of violence.

More than one hundred thousand Americans have died after contracting COVID-19. Upwards of forty million Americans are suddenly out of work, and Trump’s focus is on himself and Twitter. Trump is a stochastic terrorist who uses his status to deflect from his failures, even if it means that people will have to die.
Obama’s words showed how incapable Trump is at leading this nation through such a turbulent time. We’re all in so much pain in the U.S. right now, and Trump enjoys heaping even more misery on our country. Our sadistic president enjoys inflicting pain.
