While the news cycle around his heinous crimes eventually settled down, don’t think for even a moment that things are anywhere close to over for child sex abuse offender and former reality TV “star” Josh Duggar.
According to new reporting, federal prosecutors are now calling on the courts to throw the proverbial book at the eldest Duggar child and former 19 Kids and Counting spawn, seeking to have him slapped with the maximum sentence in his case after he was charged and found guilty on counts of receipt of child pornography and possession of child pornography back in December of 2021. As it stands, the maximum sentence the oldest Duggar child can be hit with is 20 years in prison, after two of the charges against him were dropped.
But, in a rare move for most prosecutors, this 20-year maximum sentence is precisely what they’re gunning for when it comes to the famed, notorious child sex offender, as they dub his heinous offenses the “worst of the worst” when it comes to sex offenders.
Local station Arkansas Fox16 cited a recent 32-page court document that reads, “the conduct established at trial supports the application of all contested enhancements and establishes that the offense involved 600 or more images, warranting the application of a five-level enhancement.”

The court document goes on to describe the disturbing details of the photos and images Josh Duggar was busted on, with Law and Crime reporting that investigators called the child pornography content among the 5 worst images they have ever had to investigate throughout their careers.
The memo reads, “As an initial matter, Duggar used multiple means—uTorrent and Tor—to search for and download CSAM of a sadistic nature, including CSAM depicting prepubescent minors being subjected to violent abuse. Moreover, he went to great lengths to conceal his conduct from others, presumably so he could engage in it undetected and undeterred.”
More documents were released in a section bearing the title, “Duggar’s History and Characteristics.” This section detailed the previously concealed, infamous allegations of sexual abuse that Josh allegedly engaged in against his own sisters, who were minors at the time of the assaults.
As we’re all aware, the Duggar family’s now-defunct TLC show, 19 Kids and Counting, focused heavily on the family’s patriarchal views, Christianity, and sense of moral superiority. This, of course, only served to further spark outrage over their blatant hypocrisy after it was revealed that the family engaged in a massive coverup of brutal sexual abuse against minors in their own home while attempting to maintain the moral high ground. Josh Duggar was first accused of sexually abusing his own minor sisters at the age of 12, the eldest of the sisters he assaulted was at least 3 years younger than him.
“Although it has been widely reported and acknowledged by Duggar and his family in the public sphere, and yet still particularly contested throughout this prosecution, Duggar sexually abused multiple children when he was a juvenile,” the memo goes on to read. “His victims, four in total, were all prepubescent females, including several who were significantly younger than Duggar. And now, similarly, the victims depicted in the CSAM that Duggar has been convicted of downloading and possessing were all girls, all of similar age, and all being sexually exploited. This is not coincidental.”
“The referenced ‘pattern’ that Duggar has followed, and which is now before this Court, involves his hands-on abuse of minor females followed up by his acts to obtain imagery reflecting the hands-on abuse of minor females,” the document states. “At base, this pattern reflects a clear and long-standing sexual interest in prepubescent females. And troublingly, this sexual interest in children has gone and will likely continue to go—based on Duggar’s conduct throughout this case—unacknowledged and thus untreated.”
Throw him under the jail, exactly where he belongs.
