It’s been three years since The Washington Post and The New York Times won Pulitzer Prizes for their work investigating the Trump campaign, and it’s still getting to the twice-impeached one-term president. The two newspapers received the 2018 Pulitzer Prize award for their reporting on the Russia probe. In 2020, Donald Trump whined about not getting a Nobel Peace Prize, and now he’s upset over the newspapers winning Pulitzer Prizes. I’m starting to see a pattern here.
Trump is taking his war against the coveted Pulitzer Prizes to another level. The former president is now threatening to sue the Pulitzer Prize board.
“It is hereby demanded that the Pulitzer Prize Board take immediate steps to strip the New York Times and The Washington Post of the 2018 Pulitzer Prize for National Reporting. Pulitzer Prize Board’s failure to do so will result in prompt legal action being taken against it,” attorney Alina Habba wrote on behalf of the former president.

Trump holds a grudge like I hold a laptop keyboard. If any of this sounds familiar, it’s because he’s done this before. He’s very redundant.
“I call on the Pulitzer Prize Board to immediately rescind the 2018 Pulitzer Prize for National Reporting awarded to the staffs of The New York Times and The Washington Post, which was based on false reporting of a non-existent link between the Kremlin and the Trump Campaign,” Trump wrote in early October. “As has been widely publicized, the coverage was no more than a politically motivated farce which attempted to spin a false narrative that my campaign supposedly colluded with Russia despite a complete lack of evidence underpinning this allegation.”

But wait, there’s more. In late October, he released this statement tweeted out by his spokesperson Liz Harrington to circumvent his ban on the behemoth social site.
NEW!
President Donald J. Trump:
“have heard that the Pulitzer Prize Board is too embarrassed, or don’t know how, to respond to my letter dated Oct. 3, a copy of which is attached, about those who got the RUSSIA, RUSSIA, RUSSIA Hoax completely wrong… pic.twitter.com/Vx4W6CE841

And those are only the times that I can recall offhand. When a narcissist is bothered by something, they cannot move on from it. Not ever. And Trump still hasn’t gotten over his defeat by President Joe Biden over a year ago.
