Report Claims GOP Rep. Bizarrely Admitted His 40-Year-Old Daughter Still “Gets In His Lap” While Arguing In Abortion Debate And We’ve Never Been More Disgusted

A new report from The New Orleans Advocate has left us thoroughly disgusted as the publication reveals that one Louisiana Republican House Representative has made a bizarre, downright disturbing admission about his very own daughter, during a debate about a new abortion law, that literally left us sick to our stomachs.

As it stands, most abortion providers do not allow cell phone use inside of clinics, as it poses a serious risk to patients there for procedures, as “pro-life” protesters and anti-abortion groups could use it as an opportunity to further harass and spam the phones of said patients. The law in question here is a Republican-backed one and would require providers to drop that rule, and allow phones into their clinics.

“It wasn’t lost on the Health and Welfare committee that only two of its 18 members are women, Rep. Laurie Schlegel, a Metairie Republican, and Rep. Pat Moore, a Monroe Democrat. Only Schlegel was present for the vote, and she and the other members of the committee joked about her being the ‘resident woman,'” the report reads. “Rep. Larry Bagley, a Stonewall Republican, said, ‘As a predominately male group, it’s hard for us to understand what a woman goes through for an abortion.’ Bagley preceded to imagine a hypothetical in which his daughters would want to call him if they ever were to get an abortion.”

Rep. Bagley then stated, “They’re in their 40s, and they’ll get in my lap now if they’re upset.”

In case you’re not aware, that is not normal.

It’s likely that the bill will pass in the Louisiana House, but should the Supreme Court ultimately go through with the recently leaked draft opinion, the landmark Roe V. Wade decision would be abolished, allowing the Red state to outlaw abortion in its entirety.

There is currently a separate bill that’s being advanced in the Louisiana legislature that hinges on the final Roe V. Wade Supreme Court decision, which would ultimately declare that life begins at fertilization. This would allow any individual found to be providing an abortion to be charged with murder, no matter the stage of the pregnancy. This very same law would also effectively serve to criminalize in vitro fertilization as well as even certain forms of birth control and directs that any state judge who blocks the law from taking effect should immediately be impeached.

To say that it’s a terrifying world we are living in would be the understatement of the century at this point.
