Report Claims Liz Cheney Is Making Other Republicans “Uncomfortable” Because Of The Amount Of Evidence She Has; Does Not Need Bannon Or Meadows To Comply

Tick tock, Donald.

It’s not a good day for former President Donald Trump as the Jan. 6 investigation by the members of the House select committee appears to be accelerating at an incredible speed. Earlier today, we reported that Rep. Liz Cheney (R-WY), the committee’s vice-chair, said that she has “firsthand testimony” that Ivanka Trump asked her father at least twice to intervene when a mob of his supporters attacked the U.S. Capitol. Chairman Bennie Thompson (D-MS) said that the committee has “significant testimony” that the Trump White House “had been told to do something.”

Punchbowl News founder Jake Sherman explained to “Deadline White House” host Nicolle Wallace that the Wyoming Republican already has a lot of evidence gathered. Sherman said Cheney has enough evidence that it’s made Republicans feel “uncomfortable.” Sherman went on to say that Cheney doesn’t need the cooperation of Steve Bannon or former chief of staff Mark Meadows at this point.

“I would say even more than uncomfortable, what Cheney is doing — and by the way, let’s address the [Kevin] McCarthy dynamic,” Sherman told Wallace. “Liz Cheney and Kevin McCarthy couldn’t like each other less. He forced her out of the leadership. She thinks McCarthy is a stooge, she’s said as much publicly. And McCarthy sees her as a hot dog, someone doing this for the attention. Clearly, there is no love lost between either one of those people.”

Sherman went on to note the number of people that are cooperating that haven’t been subpoenaed.

“What is interesting to me is who is actually participating without getting subpoenaed,” he continued. “And I know some of it has become public,… but there are many White House aides, many of them, from the Trump era, who are talking to the committee voluntarily because they don’t think they did any wrong and they are willing to participate and talk about what they think Donald Trump did wrong on those days.”

“So, those dynamics here are really, really interesting,” he added. “And she’s showing that — in my estimation — that she has the goods and it doesn’t much matter if these people defy subpoenas.”

Watch:

Ivanka Trump and her brother, Donald Trump Jr., are reportedly refusing to comply with subpoenas that were issued earlier today in an unrelated investigation.
