They're onto you, Jared.

The recent and sudden dropping of the criminal case against former National Security Adviser Michael Flynn has effectively brought the investigation conducted by former Special Counsel Robert Mueller back into the spotlight and this go around, Flynn isn’t the only member of the Trump crew that’s facing some scrutiny.

A new bombshell article penned by Mother Jones journalist Dan Friedman sheds some light on Trump’s son-in-law Jared Kushner’s involvement in the whole ordeal — and ultimately leads us to wonder if Ivanka’s husband was truthful with Congress.

In the article, Friedman explains that the House Intelligence Committee “released a transcript of a once behind-closed-doors interview with Jared Kushner in which Trump’s son-in-law evaded a question about his relationship with Rick Gerson, a New York hedge fund manager and a long-time friend of Kushner.”

While Representative Adam Shiff didn’t yet head the Committee during the interview in question, which took place on July 25, 2017, while Republicans still had control of the House, he was the one to question Kushner regarding a December 2016 meeting in Manhattan at the Four Seasons Hotel that was attended by Kushner, Flynn, the United Arab Emirates’ Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed, and former Breitbart News Chairman Steve Bannon.

Friedman notes that investigators “were interested in the UAE contacts because in January 2017, the UAE arranged a secret meeting in Seychelles between a Russian sovereign wealth fund manager and Erik Prince — an informal Trump campaign adviser and the founder of the controversial Blackwater security firm. Prince is the brother of Education Secretary Betsy DeVos.”

During the questioning by Schiff, Kushner allegedly seriously downplayed the significance of Gerson, labeling him as just “a guy” during the interview. Friedman points out in his article that, according to the Mueller report, Gerson was far more than just “a guy” as Kushner described him, but rather served as  a campaign adviser for Trump’s 2016 presidential campaign as well as arranged numerous meeting for Kushner — including the December meetings at the Four Seasons that was in question at the time Jared downplayed that “guy.”

“The Seychelles meeting has never been fully explained,” the article reads. “Was the Trump campaign, through Prince, trying to set up a private backchannel to Moscow? The Mueller Report offered no definitive conclusion about the meeting. But it noted that in December (2016) and January of 2017, Gerson worked with (Kirill) Dmitriev on a proposal for reconciliation between the United States and Russia.”

Dmitriev is a close ally to Trump’s friend, Russian President Vladimir Putin and Friedman points out that the newly released transcript is the “latest development that raises questions about Kushner’s foreign contacts during the campaign.”

While this new information doesn’t contain flashing, neon lights that point “LIAR” straight at Kushner’s forehead, it certainly does raise countless different red flags and warning alarms indicating that Donald Trump’s son-in-law was less than forthcoming and honest during his interview with Congress.

I can only imagine that the Committee will soon be diving back into Kushner’s old interview with even more scrutiny this time. I’m willing to bet dollars to donuts that Donald Trump won’t be so thrilled with the exoneration of Flynn once it means that yet another of his jockeys will be going down in flames.
