Report Claims One Of Trump’s Attorneys Briefly Quit In The Middle Of His Impeachment Trial And Trump Had To Get Him Back

I bet he HATED that!

Donald Trump hasn’t had much luck with his team of attorneys put together to defend him in his second impeachment trial. Before the trial was even underway, Trump had a difficult time finding anyone that was even willing to go to bat for him over charges of inciting an insurrection at the nation’s Capitol building. Once he found a few, he then had the nerve to attempt to haggle with them over their fees for representing him. Once the trial was fully underway, Trump quickly came to see that his attorney struggles followed him to the Senate floor, as reports have indicated that the former president is less than happy with the performances of those who are represented him.

And now it seems that the attorneys who were willing to fight this battle on Donald’s behalf are less than happy with the situation themselves. Apparently so much so that one member of Trump’s defense team actually briefly quit on Thursday night, as Donald’s trial was already well underway.

The New York Times reported on Thursday, “Finally, with help from an ally, Senator Lindsey Graham of South Carolina, Mr. Trump’s advisers announced that he had hired Butch Bowers, a well-known lawyer with experience representing South Carolina politicians facing crises. But just over a week before the trial was to begin, Mr. Bowers and the four lawyers connected to him abruptly left, though another lawyer, David I. Schoen, who was expected from the beginning to be part of the team, remained on board.”

“In another reminder of his ad hoc approach, Mr. Trump asked associates on Thursday night whether it was too late to add or remove lawyers from the team, as Mr. Schoen briefly told the team he was quitting over a debate about how to use the video clips the defense showed on Friday,” the report goes on to note. “Mr. Trump called Mr. Schoen and he agreed to rejoin the team, two people briefed on the events said.”

I can only imagine how humiliating and embarrassing it is for Donald Trump to not only barely find a team to represent him in the first place, but to actually have to call one of them and ask them to come back. Frankly, it makes me happy.
