Report Claims Trump Called The Jan 6th Cops Who Spoke To Congress “P*ssies”

What a truly awful person.

Americans watched as four police officers testified on Tuesday, giving harrowing accounts of the physical and verbal assaults they faced responding to the Jan. 6 riot at the U.S. Capitol when Trump supporters tried to stop a peaceful transition of power. We’ve all seen the video clips that have been released of what the officers had to endure while protecting the U.S. Capitol. The officers were brave as they faced down a pack of savages, some of them armed, and they were outnumbered. But, to Donald Trump, the former president that hid in a bunker from the American people, they’re a bunch of pussies, according to The Daily Beast.

“In his retelling, Ashli Babbitt—who was shot and killed trying to enter the House chamber on Jan. 6—wasn’t so much a rioter as she was an “innocent, wonderful, incredible woman.” And, in Trump’s mind, some of the police officers who defended the Capitol that day aren’t the real heroes, calling them liberal “pussies” who loathe MAGA, and outliers within a broadly pro-Trump law enforcement community,” the outlet reports.

Trump, who wouldn’t have lasted five minutes in their shoes, thinks they are “weak.”

“In private discussions this summer, Trump has told some people close to him that several of these officers strike him as weak and as “pussies,” according to two sources familiar with the comments and who described them independently,” the report continues. “Trump has also maintained that these men seem “broke[n]” by the events of Jan. 6, and that they do not have the supposed toughness or character of the law enforcement officers who, on the whole nationally, still widely support Trump and his policies.”

According to several sources, Trump has also somehow said that “these particular police officers are letting themselves be used as pawns by anti-Trump Democrats, like Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA), or simply despise Trump and are Democrats themselves.”

“However, there have been times when the ex-president has expressed some measure of pity for these men, saying that he feels sorry for them—but mostly because Trump thinks they’re being used or exploited by his political foes, the person with knowledge of the situation said,” the report adds.

Capitol Police officer Aquilino Gonell said during his testimony that he and fellow officers were beaten repeatedly and that he thought he would die. “We fought hand to hand, inch by inch,” he said. Over 140 officers were injured as Trump supporters stormed the Capitol after the former president incited the insurrection. But, sure, they’re weak, not the twice-impeached one-term president that’s afraid of rain.
