Report Claims Trump’s Ambassador To Brazil Asked Government To Help Trump Win Re-Election

Trump just got caught cheating again.

Donald Trump and his minions have once again been caught trying to enlist a foreign government to help him win re-election — this time Brazil.

Earlier this year, former National Security Advisor John Bolton revealed that Trump offered “favors” to the Chinese if China would interfere in the 2020 Election on his behalf during a meeting with Chinese President Xi Jinping.

“Trump then, stunningly, turned the conversation to the coming U.S. presidential election, alluding to China’s economic capability and pleading with Xi to ensure he’d win,” Bolton wrote.

And we all know that Trump received help from Russia to win the 2016 Election and is still letting them interfere ahead of this year’s election.

Trump also got impeached for trying to extort Ukraine into interfering with the 2020 Election on his behalf by demanding a sham investigation against former Vice President Joe Biden.

Clearly, Trump has a history of soliciting help from foreign governments in his desperation to remain in office safe from potential prosecution.

So, it’s both shocking and not unsurprising that Trump has apparently reached out to Brazil for help as well.

It makes sense. After all, Brazil currently has a fascistic right-wing government similar to the Trump administration. Brazilian President Jair Balsonaro is considered Brazil’s version of Trump.

News reports coming from Brazil reveal that US Ambassador to Brazil Todd Chapman urged the government to lower ethanol tariffs. While that doesn’t seem suspicious, the timing very much is because it appears that the move is designed to pander to Iowa, a state Trump won but is in danger of losing to Biden in November.

The Washington Post reports:

House Democrats are demanding a reckoning from the U.S. ambassador to Brazil after news reports there said he was urging country officials to lower ethanol tariffs to help President Trump’s chances of reelection.

In a letter Friday to Ambassador Todd C. Chapman, House Foreign Affairs Committee Chairman Rep. Eliot L. Engel (D-N.Y.) and Western Hemisphere subcommittee Chairman Albio Sires (D-N.J.) cited a report in prominent Brazilian newspaper O Globo depicting Chapman telling Brazilian officials about “the importance for the [President Jair] Bolsonaro government of maintaining Donald Trump as U.S. President.” In the article, according to the letter, Chapman also communicated to Brazilian officials that it was important for their “government to do the U.S. a favor” by reducing ethanol tariffs, as those are important in the state of Iowa, a potential “key player” in 2020.”

Biden does seem to have an advantage in Iowa according to the polls. And former President Obama did win Iowa twice with Biden on the ticket.

Again, asking a foreign country to interfere with an American election is an impeachable offense. It’s cheating at the highest level and is likely being done on a wider scale than we realize because Iowa is not the only state Trump is struggling to keep in his column.

Biden currently leads in most, if not all, of the battleground states. Is Trump reaching out to other foreign governments in an effort to pander to those states as well? This clearly demands a full investigation and severe consequences for all involved in the scheme. Trump likes accusing Biden and Democrats of trying to “steal” the election. But he’s the one actually doing it while recruiting the help of authoritarian regimes to aid in the undermining of democracy.
