Reporter Claims A Rat Scurried Behind Trump As He Spoke At Press Briefing And The Internet Has Some Thoughts: “I Bet The Rat Is Voting For Joe”

Oh, bless.

Yesterday, Trump held his daily Coronavirus Task Force briefing on the lawn of the White House in some temperatures that were evidently a bit too chilly for the president.

However, it seems that the weather was just right for the rats that call the White House grounds their home.

ABC News Chief White House Correspondent Jon Karl alleged that an actual rat scurried in front of the steps during Trump’s insufferable coronavirus press briefing yesterday evening.

Unfortunately, the little rodent was just too quick to be capture on camera, but Karl didn’t let that stop him from posting a photo to his Twitter account telling the world wide web about rat’s cameo at the presser.

Trump didn’t appear to notice the quick visit from the rat, though honestly, it’s hard to distract him from his self-serving ramblings with much of anything at this point.

Apparently, the furry critter made an appearance not once, but twice — the first time as Agriculture Secretary Sonny Perdue was speaking on the country’s food supply and a second when Trump took the podium for questions from the press.

Unsurprisingly, Twitter users had a whole lot to say about the occurrence, including a hefty reminder that this isn’t the first time Trump’s White House has had a rodent issue — and I don’t just mean the dude inhabiting the Oval Office:

Frankly, I’m not surprised. Rats are attracted to trash, after all.
