Donald Trump hasn’t spoken to outgoing Mike Pence since the violent insurrection in which the president’s supporters stormed the Capitol calling for the vice-president’s execution. Things are sticky between the two since Pence would not back Trump’s attempted coup. The president reportedly told Pence, “I don’t want to be your friend.”
But now, with an article of impeachment drawn against Trump for inciting the armed insurrection, and with House Speaker Nancy Pelosi giving Pence 24 hours to invoke the 25th Amendment, things just got weirder. CBS News’ Ben Tracy tweeted that Pence and his Chief of Staff Marc Short, the latter of which Trump said he never wanted in the White House again for not backing the coup, entered the West Wing just before 2:00 p.m.
VP Mike Pence and his Chief of Staff Marc Short entered the West Wing just before 2pm ET. President Trump made it clear he did not want Short to ever enter The White House again blaming him for advising Pence not to fight the electoral college vote. Well…he’s back.

Is he meeting with Trump or just in the wing? Let’s hope @VP is having that sit-down talk we’ve all been waiting for.

What’s happening in there? Kicking? Screaming? Yelling? Tantrums? Begging? Crying? Self-Pitying? Plotting? Is there more?

“Marc, he doesn’t want you here.”
“I know, but I have to see the look on his face when you tell him.”

My money is on Trump being presented with his options by Pence.

Trump’s narcissism makes the president incapable of resigning and accepting defeat. But it’s even worse for this narcissistic president to endure being removed from office. And Trump has very few options on the table while he screams up and down the White House’s corridors without a Twitter account to use to vent. Is it bourbon o’clock yet? It’s going to be a day, you guys.
