Reporter Finally Asks McEnany About Russian Bounties Placed On Troops’ Heads: “As You Know, That Intelligence Is Unverified Still To This Day … I Won’t Get Into The President’s Private Discussions With A Foreign Leader”

Americans deserve to know.

Our country’s veterans and active military members deserve to know more about reports that Russia paid bounties to Taliban militants to kill U.S. soldiers. The reports have been confirmed by major news agencies — as well as multiple security and intelligence agencies from countries around the world. So far, though, reporters have failed to bring up the scandal until today. And with Trump recently speaking on the phone with his buddy, Russian President Vladimir Putin, it would have been a good time for the two world leaders to discuss the bounties.

Scratch that: Trump should have torn Putin to shreds, given him an earful, then punished Russia with sanctions. Putin needs to be told that our troops are not be fucked with in any way, shape, or form.

NBC reporter Kristen Welker asked White House press secretary Kayleigh McEnany on Friday whether Trump raised “the issue of Russian bounties on the lives of American troops during that phone call” with Putin.

McEnany gave a non-answer to a very important question.

“As you know, that intelligence is unverified still to this day … I won’t get into the president’s private discussions with a foreign leader.” She added, “Rest assured our president will always stand with our military and protect them against any and every foreign adversary.”

Watch:

Well, if there are dissenting opinions on the “unverified report” that’s been confirmed by numerous sources, then Trump should get off his ass to find out what is going on — then deal with Russia harshly if and when it’s verified. And as for McEnany suggesting that Trump will protect US military members, I’m old enough to remember when the president sided with Putin over our country’s intelligence agencies while standing next to the Russian leader in Helsinki.

Reporters need to continue to ask Trump about the Russian bounties. Trump has not shown respect for our military — he’s all talk, merely a showman with a big red tie on.
