Recently, it was discovered that White House Press Secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders was the next one of Donald Trump’s inner circle minions to be interviewed by Special Counsel Robert Mueller — and she may have just opened up a new line of investigation into the president. Once again, Trump’s incompetent employees may have just screwed him over.

In an interview with MSNBC host Alex Witt, contributor and attorney Cynthia Alksne stated that what Sanders said during this interview could open up a whole new can of worms for many other White House officials who have said they’d speak about Donald Trump Jr.’s Trump Tower meeting with Russian officials.

Witt asked Alksne, “Can you ever say ‘No, I don’t want to talk to you?’” Alksne responded:

Of course you can. You can say no and wait to be subpoenaed — absolutely you could say no.”

Then the former prosecutor outlined just how badly Sanders might have screwed her boss over:

It’s interesting, this opens up yet another branch in the investigation. They’re trying to find out if the president directed people to lie because what Sarah Sanders said in the press conference on August 1st in 2017 — that the president did not dictate the statement regarding the Trump Tower meeting when, in fact, he did. So they want to know why did she say that? Did someone tell her to say that? Was she part of framing that? That’s interesting. — there’s a bunch of other people who have the same problem.”

You can watch part of the interview below, which includes clips of Sanders that will only damage Trump’s case in Mueller’s investigation further:

Trump and his team only continue to dig themselves even bigger holes. Just when it doesn’t seem possible things could get worse for the Trump administration, someone on the team f*cks up.
