Ron DeSantis Reacts To Trump’s Attacks Calling Him “Dull” And Lacking “Charisma” As Relationship Between The Two Seemingly Continues To Sour

I definitely don't think they're friends anymore.

For several weeks now, we’ve been watching the not-quite-fight between ex-President Donald Trump and Florida GOP governor Ron DeSantis play out in the public eye, as the two grown men appeared to continually butt heads but never quite commit to a feud. But, if the Republican stooges weren’t fully committed to being at each others’ throats before, it’s pretty much guaranteed that they are now.

For quite some time now, the two men have been taking not-so-thinly-veiled jabs at each other — Trump calling out “gutless” politicians for refusing to reveal their vaccination status as he tries to center himself as the kingpin of the COVID-19 vaccine, the ex-president’s bitterness that Ron won’t commit to not running for the White House in 2024, and DeSantis’ recent revelation that his biggest regret as Florida’s governor was not pushing back harder on Trump’s stay-at-home order during the early days of the pandemic.

But it seems Donald’s most recent attack against DeSantis was the final knell in the coffin for his Floridian political doppelganger.

Just recently, we reported that Trump has been telling his insiders that he’s not actually worried about going head to head with the GOP governor who’s been described as “autocratic” by his former official, because DeSantis’ “dull” personality and resounding lack of “charisma” makes him too boring to beat him anyway.

Apparently, DeSantis caught wind of Trump’s most recent petty attack and he’s throwing down the proverbial gauntlet, no holds barred, according to a new report from the New York Times

The Times reports that Ron has told insiders, following Trump’s nasty attack against his personality, that the ex-president’s “‘expectation that he bend the knee is asking too much.”

DeSantis took a shot at Trump in response to his attack, accusing the former guy of being “uncharacteristically out of step with the hard-line elements of his party’s base.”

For the duration of Trump’s presidency, DeSantis served as one of his staunchest, most vocal supporters in government and the Republican party as a whole. However, it seems Ron’s potential political aspirations of his own have officially spoiled that relationship beyond repair — despite the fact that neither of the men has yet committed to actually running in 2024.
