Unsurprisingly, Donald Trump’s talks with the Taliban’s leaders is raising eyebrows, and probably because the former reality show star operates in an unprecedented manner. Just last week, Americans found out Trump spoke with the leader of the militant group via a tweet from the Taliban. It was revealed today that Trump was reportedly on the phone with people the U.S. government officially wants to be jailed or dead.
And now, Democratic Senator Chris Murphy — who sits on the Senate Appropriations Committee and Foreign Relations — took to Twitter to express concerns after receiving a classified briefing on the agreement with the Taliban. Murphy believes that Trump got “fleeced.”

Trump desperately wants a win, and sending our troops home would be something we all could get behind, but the president is an amateur that lacks critical thinking skills. Just five days after a pre-deal ceasefire was brokered, it failed when the U.S. bombed a Taliban position in Helmand to disrupt an attack by the militant group on a checkpoint run by Afghanistan security forces, the Daily Beast reports.
We’re talking about a guy who is easily flattered so we have to wonder how that plays into Trump’s deal with the militant group.
