Donald Trump may still think he picks the “best” people to be in his administration, but what happens after they leave proves that the president’s instincts are way off.

Not only have many of Trump’s former administration members written damaging tell-all books about the presidents, but their interviews have been equally as damaging. Former White House Press Secretary Sean Spicer recently gave a shocking interview on BlazeTV host Eric Bolling’s State of the Union special, and it turned out to be extremely embarrassing for Trump.

Live from the Trump Hotel lobby bar in Washington D.C., it was painfully obvious that Spicer had been spending quite a bit of time at the bar before coming on as Bolling’s guest. Not only could Spicer not stop talking about Trump campaign aide Katrina Pierson, but he was slurring his words uncontrollably, acting belligerent and trashing the president as the cameras rolled.

No one knew how Bolling managed to keep the interview rolling as Spicer shouted over him several times, demanding that Bolling “Just stop, listen to me!” like an intoxicated frat boy. And somewhere in the middle of that, Spicer said he would never work for Trump again. Spicer told Bolling how he’d spoken with Trump recently, and the president had asked him when he was coming back to the White House. Spicer said:

And I told him, I said very clearly, ‘Mr. President, I love you, I love this White House, but you’re never getting me back.’

And in another drunken moment, Spicer rubbed Bolling’s suit and said:

I’m having a fun time,” he added, before rubbing Bolling’s suit and remarking: That’s good. I never knew that Target had good clothes like that. That’s good. Target!”

Bolling corrected him, “Armani.”
