Donald Trump and Third Lady Melania Trump stood in front of the Taj Mahal in India, which is ironic, since the former reality show star somehow managed to bankrupt a casino called the Taj Mahal in Atlantic City. Trump, according to Fortune, first began building the Taj Mahal in 1990 for $1 billion. The braggadocious former reality show star called it the “eighth wonder of the world.” But the casino was built on debt — sort of like Trump’s tariffs and farm subsidies as the deficit is exploding.
During Trump’s 13 years as the chairman of the board between 1995 and 2009, the company made three trips through bankruptcy court and was about to file its fourth when the businessman left, Fortune notes. The irony of all this did not get past Twitter users.
Here’s the image of Trump and his wife, who appears to be wearing a karate outfit.

It’s a fucking shame, though, that Trump supporters give their president a pass for his past bankruptcies while calling him a brilliant businessman. It’s almost impossible to bankrupt a casino, but Trump managed it somehow, and now he has the power to do the same thing to the most powerful country in the world.
