Secretary of State Mike Pompeo either picked the wrong moment to troll the Democratic National Convention or he really despises domestic violence survivors and enjoys mocking them.
Because during the convention, an appeal was made to Democrats on behalf of domestic violence survivors. At that exact moment, Pompeo posted a meme of Lisa Simpson from the long-running animated series “The Simpsons” crying.

The Trump administration has long been accused of not caring about domestic violence and women. Pompeo’s tweet did not change that perception and was even more disgraceful because the coronavirus death toll has topped 175,000.

Pompeo has a history of attacking female reporters for challenging him, so it’s not far-fetched to believe that he would mock domestic violence survivors. He owes these women, the American people, and the Democratic Party a public apology for being a complete d*ck.
