It seems as though something is getting to Donald Trump.
Whether it’s the stress of the rapidly-spreading coronavirus that he has absolutely no answers for, the knowledge that the new virus is likely going to kill what little chance he had at reelection, or the fact that he just spent a handful of days around a bunch of people who were exposed to the virus that’s literally killing people as we speak — it’s pretty clear that this whole ordeal is really starting to get under Trump’s skin.
Today, Donald held yet another meeting, this time behind closed doors, regarding the novel, potentially deadly virus that’s sweeping the globe and quickly spreading throughout the United States.
After emerging from the meeting, Trump stopped and took a moment to converse with reporters (I’m assuming he had his answers rehearsed this time so no one had to throw the media out while he refused to answer any questions) and explained that he didn’t feel the need to get tested after direct contact with exposed individuals because, once again, the whole thing just isn’t a big deal.
“I don’t think it’s a big deal. I would do it, I don’t feel any reason. I feel extremely good, I feel very good. But I guess it’s not a big deal to get tested and it’s something I would do. But again, spoke to the White House doctor — terrific guy, talented guy — he said he sees no reason to do it. There’s no symptoms, no anything,” Trump responded when questioned as to whether he would be getting himself tested for COVID-19.
After the GOP lunch, I asked Trump why he didn’t get tested after interacting with Gaetz and Collins last week. Trump says: “I don’t think we need to do it. I feel very good … I see no reason to do it.” pic.twitter.com/3ewsQpoL4l

“We’re doing a great job with it, it will go away, just stay calm,” Trump added. “But be calm, it’s really working out and a lot of good things are going to happen.”

But as video footage of the presser started to make its way around social media, people couldn’t help but notice that Donald himself was looking rather rough. His makeup was heavy, his pupils were dilated, his eyes were baggy, and he looked as though he hasn’t slept in days.

I gotta say, Donald. You may want to rethink turning down that test. You really don’t look so good.
