It’s strikingly clear that Donald Trump has botched his response to the coronavirus in every conceivable way. And you don’t have to just take my word for it: His poll numbers, even from some of the farthest right-leaning pollsters around, are the most dismal they’ve been since he took office over three years ago.
At this point, even his staunchest of supporters are finally starting to catch on — Donald Trump doesn’t care about anyone other than Donald Trump, deadly pandemic and a hundred thousand dead Americans be damned.
A recent piece from Vanity Fair’s Gabriel Sherman went on to further highlight the dynamic that’s currently going on in the White House and really honed in on Trump’s “me, me, me” attitude and behavior surrounding this catastrophically fatal pandemic.
According to Sherman’s piece, which contained more than a few interviews with Trump White House insiders, the president spent virtually the entire Memorial Day weekend whining about desolate poll numbers and labeling himself as the biggest victim of this virus outbreak.

You read that right. He wasn’t concerned about the 100k death toll mark this nation just recently hit. He actually labeled himself as a bigger victim of the virus than the thousands upon thousands of people who lost their lives.
He truly made every moment about himself, just as he’s done the entire time.
As we’re all painfully aware by now, this absolute and ongoing tragedy could have been largely avoided had Donald Trump just acted with a shred of common sense in the early stages of the outbreak instead of keeping his concerns on his precious stock market and the 2020 election.
And when I say we’re all aware… I do mean all.
In Sherman’s piece, not only did he detail Trump’s selfish behavior, but he also revealed that Melania, Trump’s current wife, allegedly urged her husband to take the impending pandemic far more seriously than he was — all the way back in February of this year.
Trump just didn’t listen.
The Vanity Fair report alleges that a source said Melania warned Trump during their trip to India early this year that the outbreak and Donald’s response to it should be taken seriously. However, “He totally blew her off,” according to the source.
Apparently, Melania later told people that her husband “only hears what he wants to hear and surrounds himself with yes-people and family.”
Are you surprised? Because I’m not.
