Sources Said Donald Trump May Relocate To New Jersey After His Mar-A-Lago Home Closes For The Summer

Well, that didn't last long.

As I’m sure you recall, there was quite a bit of controversy surrounding Donald Trump’s decision to move his family (Melania and Barron, anyway) to his Mar-A-Lago resort in Palm Beach, Florida, after their days in the White House came to a close. The controversy went so far, in fact, as to ignite debates and hearings over whether he even could live there, based on the resort’s rules, and after many people in the area complained about the idea of the ex-president living so close.

Ultimately, it was determined that as long as Donald Trump was an employee of his MAr-a-Lago resort, then it was acceptable for him to permanently reside there. But, as it turns out, all that controversy may have been for a little of nothing in the end.

According to a report from Business Insider, the publication spoke with unnamed sources who said that the twice-impeached, one-term ex-president may soon be trading in his Mar-a-Lago resort home for his golf course in Bedminster, New Jersey.

“They’re moving the whole operation to New Jersey because they’re going to start doing more fundraising,” one advisor to Trump who’s familiar with discussions surrounding the move claimed.

Mar-a-Lago has been rather busy since Trump left the White House as the former president desperately tries to maintain his control over the Republican party as a private citizen, with many notable names in the GOP regularly visiting the Florida resort since the end of the Trump administration.

However, it looks like Trump’s flight down south won’t be permanent, as his Mar-a-Lago resort closes down every year after Memorial Day due to the hot and humid Florida weather during the summer.

It was always assumed that Donald and the family headed south in an effort to surround themselves with more like-minded people and avoid the widespread disdain that’s felt for them further north. But I suppose all good things come to an end, Donnie. You better hope New Jersey likes you more than New York.
