Cancun’s finest vacationer, Ted Cruz, found himself fact-checked right to his face, on live television no less, during his recent appearance on Fox News, after he blatantly misquoted Biden’s Attorney General Merrick Garland… Again.
Yesterday, the Texas GOP Senator appeared on the Right-wing, Conservative network to less than humbly brag about the recent Conservative win in Virginia, where GOP gubernatorial candidate Glenn Youngkin just won his bid as the state’s Governor. Cruz took the opportunity to claim that Youngkin’s win was due in large part to education, insisting that the GOP candidate won through parents who voted in his favor because they want “influence and control over what their kids are taught.”
“The arrogance of the Democrats saying ‘parents have no control over that,’ and even worse, the attorney general ― Joe Biden’s attorney general ― calling those parents domestic terrorists. I think that directly led to the result last night,” Cruz asserted.
But the senator’s claim was so downright wrong, that even the Fox News host had to correct him — and, frankly, that doesn’t happen often on the Trump-loving network.

Fox News anchor John Roberts instantly interjected, pointing out that the “domestic terrorists” statement was not made by the Attorney General, but rather by the National School Boards Association (NSBA).
“Although in fairness, he said that they weren’t domestic terrorists. It was the National School Boards Association that said that,” Roberts was quick to clarify with Cruz sitting right in front of him, on live TV.

Later on, following the interview’s airing, Cruz took to Twitter to share a clip of his appearance on the Right-wing segment, but the clip conveniently cut out the part where Roberts fact-checked his false claim:
.@GlennYoungkin’s win in Virginia is a BIG DEAL. There are a lot of Democrats on the Hill that are freaked out. pic.twitter.com/vgqZYixneX

Frankly, I can’t say that I’m surprised about either. God knows Ted Cruz isn’t an honest man. I’m just glad to see Fox do the right thing for once in their existence.
