Senator Ted Cruz shared a video on Twitter of himself saying, “Let’s go, Brandon,” on Sunday evening. The problem here is that the phrase is a euphemism for “F*ck Joe Biden,” and it’s gone viral with Trump supporters. So, that’s where we are in this country. An elected official telling the president to f*ck off is something that would have appalled Americans before Donald Trump began his godawful campaign.
The phrase went viral after an NBC sports reporter misheard some people behind him saying, “F*ck Joe Biden” and thought the crowd was chanting “Let’s go, Brandon.”
Ted Cruz shared the video.

And Cruz knew exactly what he was chanting because he previously tweeted this out:

Even worse, Cruz was with his young daughter.
Great time with Catherine tonight at the @astros game.
Disappointing outcome (pretty tough to come back after giving up TWO grand slams in the first two innings), but now, on to Boston….#GoStros#ForTheH pic.twitter.com/Q2SQgvIqHV

Twitter users jumped in.
Is this part of the “Christian values” you try to lecture others about?
Sickening.

Biden won the presidency with the most voted in history and you polled at 1% at CPAC. Lol

A sitting US Senator, everyone. You must be so proud, Texas. https://t.co/EYhyc1JRds

Such a great Senator. I guess representing people in your state that may not be Republicans doesn’t mean shit to you. Of course. https://t.co/xbfiGwXPw0

Well, when Cruz went to Cancun amid a weather crisis in his state, he pretty much was saying, “F*ck Texas,” so we shouldn’t expect much from the Texas Republican. It’s a juvenile chant and one that Trump supporters are free to chant, but a sitting member of Congress taking part in that is shameful.
