There’s a reason Donald Trump had a cameo scene in the holiday classic “Home Alone 2: Lost In New York” and it’s not because of his acting skills. The former reality show star reportedly insists on being written in films if they want to shoot a scene in one of his hotels. Trump bragged about his part in the film during a video conference call to U.S. troops overseas on Christmas day.
“Well I’m in Home Alone 2,” Trump said. “A lot of people mention it every year, especially around Christmas. They say – especially young kids – they say, ‘I just saw you on the movie.’ They don’t see me on television as they do in the movie. But it’s been a good movie and I was a little bit younger, to put it mildly. And it was an honor to do it.”
“And it turned out to be a very big hit, obviously. It’s a big Christmas hit – one of the biggest,” he continued. “So it’s an honor to be involved in something like that, you always like to see success.”
And just like that, Trump’s scene was reportedly cut from showings of the movie on Canadian Broadcasting Corporation (CBC), but the network said it wasn’t a politically motivated edit.

CBC told ComicBook.com when asked for a comment on the matter that “As is often the case with features adapted for television, Home Alone 2 was edited to allow for commercial time within the format.”
Trump is not having a good holiday season so far, apparently. Just after he offered a Christmas message alongside his Be Best-y wife, calling to “foster a culture of deeper understanding and respect, traits that exemplify the teachings of Christ,” he went off the rails to lash out at “Crazy” Nancy Pelosi and the “Do Nothing Democrats.” And that tirade has continued this morning.
Just edit him back into the film, please, so he’ll shut the fuck up. Just do it, CBC, before he launches a few mean-girl tweets at your network, sending his cultish MAGA-army after you.
