For the first time since leaving the White House, former President Donald Trump was finally brave enough to set foot in his old stomping ground of New York City. Trump hasn’t frequented his old home state in a long time now, even before he was thrown out of the presidency on his ass, and even made a huge show out of moving his official permanent residency from the northern state down to Florida at his Mar-A-Lago resort after a long and drawn-out spat with the state’s governor, Andrew Cuomo. And to be frank, it was certainly no love lost for native New Yorkers. In fact, the majority of New York residence quickly and happily bid the man good riddance.
To be honest, we weren’t sure what sort of reception would be waiting for the former president when he arrived back in NYC, this time as a private citizen. But what he was met with when he rolled into Manhattan just a little after 9 pm last night was a bit more pathetic than we even expected.
According to a report from the New York Post, the former president’s motorcade was spotted outside Trump Tower where he stays in Manhattan at just after 9 pm and he was seen waving at the one, single lone supporter who showed up to greet him.
A video of the interaction was posted to YouTube, in which you can hear what certainly sounds like one individual yelling “Welcome back to New York!” and “President Trump, what’s up bro?” as Donald’s motorcade came to a stop.

It is unclear thus far why the former president has returned to New York, especially amid the massive investigation Manhattan District Attorney Cyrus Vance is currently spearheading against him and his taxes as well as state Attorney General Letitia James’ investigation into his finances.
If you ask me, Donald’s one lonely supporter outside of his skyscraper building is just further proof that New York has no love left for Donald Trump. Now we just wait and see how much worse it gets for him throughout his stay in NYC.
