TMZ Reports ABC Network Is Privately Calling Bullsh*t On Meghan McCain’s Claims Of Toxic Work Environment On “The View”

She's such a snake in the grass.

Recently, old school Republican Party princess, Meghan McCain, left her position as a co-host of ABC’s The View — where she, frankly, made an ass out of herself on the regular on national TV.

As you’d expect from someone as dramatic and “extra” as Meghan McCain, the late GOP presidential candidate’s daughter has been pandering for the pity ever since her departure reaching an apparent crescendo with her upcoming tell-all book that pretty much serves no other purpose than to trash the show and network as “toxic” — even alleging that co-host Joy Behar said she didn’t miss McCain while she was out on maternity leave.

However, ABC recently did an exclusive interview with TMZ, and pushed back against Meghan’s claims of a toxic work environment, with sources telling the publication that the network is furious over McCain’s upcoming “tell-all” that takes aim at the show she co-hosted for four years.

“We’re told there are many points of dissent — for instance, ABC execs say the notion Meghan left on her own volition is wrong, and ditto for her claim everybody except her was oozing toxicity,” the TMZ report reads. “Our sources tell us Meghan was essentially forced out of her role after an internal investigation into the environment she describes — which we’re told was, in fact, real … but mostly due to Meghan’s behavior on and off camera, not her coworkers’ — other way around.”

It’s been reported that the chief of ABC, Kim Godwin, conducted an extensive, in-depth investigation into the claims, complete with interviews of every individual connected with The View, including talent and staff. In the end, it was unsurprisingly determined that all of the in-fighting led directly back to McCain as the source. It got so bad, in fact, that Godwin was once reportedly forced to call an emergency Zoom meeting to deal with the mounting issues.

There is, of course, documentation of the fights that made it on air between the hosts, however, insiders consistently point the finger at Meghan as the instigator of pretty much every instance of tension and infighting. In fact, they claim that whenever she wasn’t blatantly picking a fight, her bitter attitude constantly perpetuated tension, which often kept the conflict flowing.

“As for her departure … our sources didn’t have details on the negotiations behind the exit, but we’re told the bottom line is it wasn’t simply her decision after hitting a breaking point. The network was ready to move on too,” TMZ reported.

ABC admitted that they feel like James Goldston didn’t fire McCain even sooner because he was scared of the Conservative backlash it would ignite.

However, the report clearly notes that, now that McCain is gone, the overall tone of the show has drastically changed, so much so that it can even be sensed on air.
