Trump Appears To Tweet Attacks Against Dems As Officials Are Holding Briefing On Coronavirus In Wake Of Global Health Emergency

Evidently even a deadly virus won't keep him off Twitter.

As the fatal Coronavirus quickly makes its way around the world, with a staggering 10,000 cases in total already reported, and the death tolls continue to rise with each passing day, the World Health Organization (W.H.O) has officially declared a global health emergency.

Just last week, W.H.O had made the decision to hold off on the panic-inducing global declaration but reversed their stance today as the virus continues to rapidly infiltrate the reaches of the earth, claiming numerous lives in its path, and officials have gathered clear evidence of transmission via human-to-human contact.

Thus far, there have been six confirmed cases of the deadly virus on American soil. While that doesn’t sound like many people, it’s clear that the illness spreads easily and has the potential to turn fatal very quickly. That means that while there are only six individuals with confirmed cases at the present time, the potential for more (i.e. everyone the infected person has been in contact with) is very real.

It would certainly make sense for officials in the US to begin to batten down the hatches in preparation for what could turn into a pandemic if we’re not careful.

In the wake of the W.H.O’s declaration of a global emergency, officially described as a “public health emergency of international concern,” many government officials are attempting to do just that, as they currently are holding an official briefing in which they’re beginning preparations to contain the deadly virus.

However, Donald Trump, the “leader” of our nation doesn’t seem to be participating in the briefing of utmost importance. Instead, he’s so completely and utterly self-absorbed that he’s tweeting out petty, shameful attacks against the Democrats as the rest of the government officials do his dirty work for him.

Trump wrote of the “radical left” on his Twitter account as the briefing was underway, repeating the same nonsense he’s been saying since the impeachment inquiry began in the House:

New York Times White House correspondent, Maggie Haberman, pointed out the ridiculousness of the timing of Trump’s manic outburst:

It seems as though we haven’t yet made it to the part where this deadly virus becomes beneficial to our nation, as Trump recently claimed it would. So evidently, he’s just not interested.
