Over twenty-three thousand Americans are dead from the massive COVID-19 outbreak that has broken the US economy as people shelter at home to flatten the coronavirus curve. Tornados and strong winds killed at least twenty people and damaged hundreds of homes from Louisiana into the Appalachian Mountains. Americans are suddenly out of work, but Donald Trump somehow stepped up to the plate to make everything about him during his scream-y rage-y press conference on Monday.
On top of the grief our panic-stricken nation is going through, Trump made sure everyone will suffer from anxiety, too, in one of his wildest pressers yet. Trump was even more defensive than usual, as he argued that it would’ve been absurd for him to consider recommending social distancing before Americans started dying. However, he was warned of the threat of an upcoming pandemic months ago, and he golfed and even mocked the novel coronavirus at a rally.
At one point, Trump went off on CBS reporter Paula Reid after she questioned the president’s response to the “unprecedented crisis.”
“You are so disgraceful,” Trump shouted back. “You know you’re a fake. You know that. Your whole network is fake.”

For some reason, Trump brought up former Vice President Joe Biden, but Ms. Reid wasn’t having it — probably since Trump is supposed to be in charge right now, not his Democratic rival. We’re only surprised Trump didn’t try to blame Hillary Clinton, too. Trump did bring up former President Barack Obama, though.
Every member of the press that has any shred of integrity — not OANN — should question Trump just as Reid did. This president needs to be challenged when he attempts to bully the press.
Trump’s Republican colleagues are terrified him as they’ve watched him lash out at the world on a whim. Trump needs to be drug-tested. No one just flies off the handle like that during a press conference to a reporter that’s doing her job. We’re going through a national crisis, and Trump is having a massive meltdown.
