Trump Blasted For “Re-Election Photo Op” At USNS Comfort Amid Pandemic

What a massive ego on this guy.

Donald Trump spoke with reporters on the White House lawn before departing for the Naval Station Norfolk in Virginia to see the USNS Comfort off on Saturday to “kiss it goodbye.” Donald’s pettiness knows no bounds in his morally bankrupt mind. For days now, Trump has continued his attacks on Michigan governor Gretchen Whitmer and Washington Governor Jay Inslee amid the massive coronavirus outbreak that has brought the country, and the world, to a standstill.

But Trump doesn’t need to kiss a ship right now while a panicked nation is in crisis, though I’m sure it provided a great photo-op for the former frozen steak salesman to use for his reelection campaign. Trump has turned his daily COVID-19 press briefings into MAGA rallies that benefit his campaign.

Terry McAuliffe, the former Democratic governor of Virginia noticed that, too.

“We don’t need Donald Trump in Virginia doing a photo op,” McAuliffe told the New York Times. “We need respirators and we need masks, like every other state in the country. He ought to be staying in Washington, in his job. It’s a total waste of time.” McAuliffe added that a presidential visit to a naval base meant that officials who needed to be addressing a national health crisis had to instead “spend their time doing a Trump re-election photo op. He ought to stop the politicking and lead the nation.”

Twitter users were not impressed with Donald’s stunt.

On a positive note, Trump seems to have mastered the skill of using an umbrella.
