Trump Calls The Taliban “Great Negotiators” And “Tough Fighters” During His Alabama Rally

What a raving lunatic.

With Afghanistan falling to the Taliban, former President Donald Trump uses that to attack President Joe Biden during a crisis. Trump still hasn’t gotten over his defeat to President Biden over nine months ago, so he’s taking the unprecedented step to attack his successor. It’s all about Trump. It’s always been that way. And frankly, the twice-impeached one-term president doesn’t know that much about the Taliban; after all, Trump thinks the extremist group was formed one thousand years ago. The Taliban formed in 1994, but who am I to correct a stable genius.

Trump’s rally in Cullman, Alabama, on Saturday, was saturated with lies. I know that surprises you. Trump listed his grievances, lashed out about statues being torn down, told the largely white crowd that their culture was being destroyed, and claimed he rebuilt the military. It was “exhausting,” the former president bragged.

Trump claimed that President Joe Biden disregarded his plan for the Afghan exit, but there really wasn’t a plan intact. And I’m old enough to remember that Trump refused to give the then-president-elect the President’s Daily Brief, the intel report that goes to senior U.S. officials in November.

Trump spoke of the extremist group and said, “Taliban, great negotiators. Tough fighters.”

Watch:

Nikki Haley has the worst timing.

Trump also said that none of this with the Taliban would have happened if he was in office. Of course, it would have been much worse. Stephen Miller, a senior adviser to former President Donald Trump, previously said that the Trump administration had no intention of taking in at-risk Afghans.

For the life of me, I’ll never figure out why Trump supporters are attracted to a man that’s mentally ill with strong narcissistic traits, bordering on being a sociopath. And Trump seems to think that we’ve forgotten that he provoked an attack on U.S. soil on Jan. 6.
