As Donald Trump and his administration continue to botch their response to the massive coronavirus outbreak that’s effectively flipped this country on its head, it seems that the president’s fear of his front-running Democratic opponent, former VP Joe Biden, is now kicking into high gear — and it seems his campaign is once again willing to peddle lies in an effort to combat his oppositions surge and hopefully hang on to Donald’s last, fraying shred of hope at another term in the White House.
Recently, the Democratic super PAC Priorities USA aired an ad that featured audio of Donald Trump referring to the coronavirus as a “hoax.”

While Trump didn’t specifically call the virus itself a hoax, he did, in fact, refer to Democrats that were using the outbreak against him as a hoax — at a crowded MAGA rally while the pandemic was rapidly gaining steam, no less.

In the past several weeks, as Twitter cracks down on their manipulated media guidelines ahead of the crucial election this November, Trump’s campaign has spent a lot of time scouring the social media platform on the search for videos and ads from Democrats that they can flag as a violation against the manipulation guidelines.
However, they’ve had very little luck. None, actually, as Twitter has thus far declined to take any action against the Democratic content — likely because we don’t need to lie about anything when you’re up against someone like Donald Trump. He pretty much makes the ammo for you.
So now it seems that the Trump campaign has taken a different tactic to get back at the social media platform as well as the front-running Democratic candidate — apparently in the form of “get even.”
Today, the Trump campaign published an ad featuring what is almost assuredly heavily doctored audio of Joe Biden saying, “The coronavirus is a hoax.”
The media is giving a pass to a pro-Biden TV ad that doctors and deceptively edits audio of President Trump, even though every independent fact checker said President Trump DID NOT call the coronavirus a hoax.

Biden never said this. The audio was two different instances of the former VP speaking, spliced together to fit the GOP narrative.
The Trump campaign seems to know this, but is working off the case that the Democrats have supposedly been allowed to do it, so why can’t they? They allegedly released the ad to see if Twitter would enforce the media manipulation guidelines against both sides of the political playing field.
“Twitter has so far effectively instituted a ‘Biden protection rule,’ refusing to apply their manipulated media label to video and audio of President Trump that every independent fact-checker says is false,” one Trump campaign official said in a statement. “This tweet forces the issue and makes Twitter decide. It can enforce its arbitrary rules fairly and equally, or it can have its policy exposed as totally ineffective or a partisan sham. It’s their move.”
What they don’t seem to understand is that while theirs is an outright lie, the Democrats are simply using Donald’s own nonsense against him. Not the same, folks.
