President Joe Biden delivered the eulogy at the funeral for former Sen. Bob Dole, a longtime lawmaker and former presidential candidate, who recently said, “I’m a Trumper.” Biden doesn’t lash out at political opponents on the other side of the aisle as his predecessor did. Biden spoke at the US Capitol Rotunda to pay his respects to Dole.
“My fellow Americans, America has lost one of our greatest patriots,” Biden said, looking to Dole’s wife, Elizabeth, who also served in the Senate, and his daughter, Robin, who is expected to speak Friday, according to ABC News. “We may follow his wisdom, I hope, and his timeless truth — that the truth of the matter is, as divided as we are, the only way forward for democracy is unity, consensus. The only way.”

Meanwhile, former President Donald Trump was seen golfing while the former Senate majority leader was eulogized. It’s unclear who is accompanying the twice-impeached former President, but you can hear them yelling out, “Let’s go, Brandon,” which is a euphemism for “f*ck Joe Biden.”
