On Wednesday, former President Donald Trump went to the Southern border, and we aren’t sure why since he’s a private citizen now. The twice-impeached one-term president was joined by Gov. Greg Abbott, who plans to continue building a border wall using funds from the state and the private sector. But, once Trump started talking, the former president launched a lengthy rant filled with lies about the 2020 presidential election that he lost to Joe Biden in both the electoral and popular vote over seven months ago — so Fox News cut the former guy off amid his rant.
“We had an election where we did much better than we did the first time, and amazingly we lost,” Trump insisted. “I just want to thank the people of Texas because we won in a landslide. It wasn’t even close.”
“We got 12 million more votes than we got the first time,” he continued to say. “We better get our elections straightened out because you’re going to have a runaway country, you’re going to have a banana republic, you’re going to have a third world country here pretty soon because our elections are a mess.”
“We have a sick country in many ways. It’s sick in elections, and it’s sick in the border,” he added. “And if you don’t have good elections, and if you don’t have a strong border, you don’t have a country.”

Trump also took a shot at vice-president Kamala Harris, saying, “So with that, we’re going over to the border right now. But we’re going to the real part of the border where there’s real problems, not a part where you look around and don’t see anybody.” Harris traveled to El Paso, the same area that House Minority Kevin McCarthy visited.
As for Trump’s rhetoric, the former president made issues at the border all about him because that’s just who he is. Trump used his visit at the border to continue his perpetual state of victimhood simply because he sustained a massive narcissistic injury when Biden whooped his ass in November.
