Trump Gets Fact Checked By Local CA News Anchor After Blaming Fires On The State

Busted in a lie. Again!

In all the times that California has found itself engulfed in flames, Donald Trump has each and every time been the complete opposite of helpful — often trying to refuse to give aid to the state as their livelihoods burn to the ground and blaming the raging fires on ridiculous nonsense such as unswept forest floors.

And frankly, this go-around has been absolutely no different.

“I told him from the first day we met that he must ‘clean’ his forest floors regardless of what his bosses, the environmentalists, DEMAND of him,” Trump tweeted out of the California fires over the weekend. “Must also do burns and cut fire stoppers…”

“Every year, as the fire’s[sic] rage & California burns, it is the same thing-and then he comes to the Federal Government for $$$ help,” Donald continued to carry on. “No more. Get your act together Governor. You don’t see close to the level of burn in other states…”

But one California local news anchor, Eric Spillman of Southern California local news outlet KTLA5, wasn’t here for Trump’s bullshit lies claiming that California’s “poor forest management” is the reason for their fires.

Spillman was quick to point out that, per fire prevention experts, “most of California’s recent fires did not start or even burn at all in forests.”

“Also many of the big fires last week were caused by malfunctions involving electrical equipment,” the local news reporter went on.

Spillman wrapped things up by mentioning that although Trump blames Newsom for mismanaging forests, “most of the forests in California are on federal land.”

“In other words, they’re not under state control,” the news anchor stated.

I can only imagine that it gets really old, really quick for your home to be burning up around you, lives and homes lost, and the “president” of the United States can only spew immature lies rather than actually help.
