Trump Hits Back At SCOTUS Decision On DACA, Says It’s Like “Shotgun Blasts Into The Face” Of Republicans

Everything is always about him in his tiny mind.

Donald Trump finally responded to getting his a** handed to him in multiple Supreme Court rulings this week. Of course, he did it by whining.

Just a day after the high court delivered a 6-3 ruling barring employers from discriminating against LGBTQ+ people, the Justices handed down a 5-4 ruling that keeps DACA in place after Trump had tried to end the program. As a result, hundreds of thousands of undocumented immigrants who were brought here as children are protected.

Trump lashed out at the court on Twitter for not ruling his way.

At a time when black people are being shot and killed by police and kids have to go to school fearing a potential shooting, Trump’s comparison of these rulings to being shot in the face is galling.

Twitter users certainly think so.

He then asked if the Supreme Court’s rulings are personal slights.

The Justices made these decisions based on precedent, evidence, and the Constitution. They don’t make rulings based on what Trump wants because that would be an erosion of the separation of powers. The Supreme Court must be an independent branch. But Trump has tried to stack the courts since taking office. As it just so happens, both of his nominees to the court voted to kill DACA, but Neil Gorsuch did author the ruling barring discrimination against LGBT employees.

Portraying these rulings as personal slights against him is yet another tactic to divide the country and gin up his supporters. A real president would not react this way.
