Trump Is Apparently Still “Disappointed” With His Former VP, Takes Aim At Pence In Newest Interview: “You Would Have A Different President Right Now”

That's not how it works, dude.

On January 6th, after a mob of Trump supporters stormed the Capitol during the deadly insurrection, then-vice president Mike Pence stood in a Senate Chamber and certified the results of the 2020 Electoral College vote, confirming President-elect Joe Biden’s win. For performing his role as Senate president, as detailed by the 12th Amendment, former President Donald Trump has never forgiven Pence. Like a dog with a bone, the former president just can’t let go. And he’s wrong — Pence couldn’t have stopped Biden from being certified.

On Monday, the twice-impeached one-term president took another shot at Pence, saying that he’s “disappointed” that his former vice president didn’t overturn the 2020 election results.

Real America’s Voice host David Brody noted that Donald Trump’s followers are “never going to forgive” Mike Pence, and yeah, he’s not wrong. Trump’s followers literally wanted to hang Pence on Jan. 6.

“What’s your take on Mike Pence, and what’s the relationship like?” Brody asked Trump.

“Well, I’ve always liked Mike, and I’m very disappointed that he didn’t send it back to the legislatures when you have more votes than you have voters in some cases, and when you have the kind of things that were known then,” Trump said.

“I was disappointed that he didn’t send it back,” the former president continued to say. “I felt that he had the right to send it back. He should have sent it back. That’s my opinion.”

“I think you may have found that you would have had a different president right now had he sent them back,” Trump added.

Watch:

We’ve all heard Trump’s false claims before. On Jan. 5th, Trump tweeted, “The Vice President has the power to reject fraudulently chosen electors,” but that’s not how it works. This has been fact-checked numerous times. Pence could not have intervened in the process of Congress certifying the results. And especially if it’s because the biggest loser in politics had his feelings hurt after Joe Biden trounced the former guy in both the popular and electoral vote. Someone needs to sit Trump down and explain the 12th Amendment to him. The former president is mentally exhausting.
