Trump Is Hosting Republican Senators For Lunch At The White House Even After Being In Close Contact With COVID-Positive Valet

If the entire Republican caucus gets sick, is the coronavirus still a 'hoax'?

Despite CDC guidelines and the highly contagious and deadly nature of COVID-19, President Donald Trump is planning on hosting Republican senators inside the White House Dining Room, potentially exposing them to the virus.

Trump’s valet tested positive for coronavirus on Thursday after having been close to Trump, serving him food among other tasks. Upon finding out about the positive test, a furious Trump is now reportedly forcing all White House officials to wear a mask around him even though he refuses to wear a mask himself.

According to NBC News:

After learning that one of his valets was infected, Trump became ‘lava level mad’ at his staff and said he doesn’t feel it is doing all it can to protect him, according to a person close to the White House.”

Trump is also now requiring everyone to get tested once a day for the virus even as he refuses to produce enough tests for the American people to get regularly tested so they can feel safer about going back to work.

“So we test once a week. Now we’re going to go testing once a day,” Trump said. “But even when you test once a day, somebody could — something happens where they catch something.”

Trump clearly knows this virus is highly contagious and deadly, and he’s absolutely frightened of getting it. But he apparently has no such concern about others getting it from him.

Trump has been exposed to the virus by his valet, which means he should be wearing a mask and self-quarantining for two weeks. Instead, he still refuses to wear a mask and will host Republican senators for lunch at the White House, according to C-SPAN’s Craig Caplan.

Surely, Republicans realize that they can contract the virus and die from it, too. But they probably will pretend that all is well to please Trump. If Trump has the virus he could very well pass it on to several of them. Maybe Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) will be one of them. At least that way we’ll know karma is real.
