After all the corruption, scandals, and torture he’s put us through, ex-President Donald Trump apparently (and let’s be honest, unsurprisingly) still thinks a mere photo with him is worth a cool 25k.
A new report from POLITICO reveals that former President Trump is apparently diving headfirst into the Arizona Senate race, seemingly anxious to see who will win the Republican nomination for the Senate seat that’s currently being held by Democratic Senator Mark Kelley, who secured a two-year term after the death of Republican Senator John McCain.
Trump is so desperate, it seems, to secure a GOP win in the state’s Senate, that he’s willing to pimp out pictures with him to donors who shill out a hefty donation — even though he evidently still hasn’t even settled on a candidate to officially endorse.
Multiple candidates are vying for the upcoming seat, with Republican Governor Doug Ducey allegedly contemplating tossing his own hat into the ring too, and ex-President Trump still has yet to throw his official endorsement behind any of them. But nevertheless, the former guy is set to join Arizona Republican Blake Masters at a Mar-a-Lago fundraising event, where he will reportedly be making himself available to donors for a very pricey photoshoot.

POLITICO’s Natalie Allison reports, “he fundraiser, according to an invitation obtained by POLITICO, is being held Wednesday night at Trump’s Mar-a-Lago Club in Palm Beach, a popular venue for candidates seeking to build goodwill with the former president,” she goes on to add that a source close to the former president said, “From time to time, the president attends candidate events at his properties prior to an endorsement in the race.”
The report goes on to note that “It’s unclear whether Trump intends to endorse Masters or is still weighing other candidates in the Senate primary,” and goes on to add that people merely attending the private event at Trump’s Florida will be expected to shill out a hefty $2,900 per person just to attend the meet and greet.
But the steep prices don’t end there.
POLITICO reports “donors or couples raising $25,000 ahead of the event can also have their photo taken with Trump.”
The report goes on to claim that Trump’s support of Blake, though still technically “unofficial,” comes at the dire expense of another current candidate in the race, state Attorney General Mark Brnovich. Brnovich, though, managed to earn the former president’s disdain when he certified the 2020 presidential election results in the state in favor of President Joe Biden. This ultimately led to the infamous Maricopa County audit that, much to Trump’s dismay, only served to add more votes to Biden’s belt — essentially making the Arizona Attorney General dead to Donald Trump.
