Trump Is Reportedly Planning A Made-For-TV Exit From White House To Take Attention Away From Biden’s Inauguration

He really is that petty.

Donald Trump may finally be coming around to accept the fact that he lost the 2020 presidential election in a big way. However, don’t think for a second that his reluctant acceptance is going to translate to maturity or grace in any way during this transition.

As lawsuits, litigations, and recounts continue to blow up in his face, and the clock to Biden’s inauguration day ticking down rapidly, it seems as though the outgoing president is slowly, reluctantly beginning to realize that a second term just is not in his cards. But it’s strikingly clear that, in true Trump fashion, Donald intends to make as ridiculous a spectacle out of what is supposed to be a peaceful transition of power as he did his entire presidential term.

For a couple of weeks now, reports have indicated that Donald most likely won’t be attending Joe Biden’s inauguration next month, as is customary for the outgoing president — a move that Biden was clear to note doesn’t affect him personally in any way, but that his predecessor should show up to participate in a peaceful transition of power and help protect the stability of the United States democratic process. But the fact of the matter is, Donald Trump has been dumping all over everything this country stands for since his own inauguration. Frankly, we wouldn’t expect anything less out of him.

However, according to a new report from Axios, Trump may now be planning to take his pettiness a step further still by planning a made-for-tv spectacle out of leaving the White House via Air Force One one inauguration day in an effort to steal views from his successor, citing inside sources familiar with the situation.

The report highlights one potential scenario that’s allegedly being floated in the Trump White House, consisting of an inauguration boycott by Trump, instead attending a rally in the state of Florida. The report claims that, under this particular plan, the outgoing president would depart the White House on Jan. 20th via Marine One, then taken Air Force One to Florida where he would address his supporters at a rally, timed precisely the same as Biden’s socially distanced inauguration outside the U.S. Capitol.

White House spokesperson Judd Deere told the publication, “Anonymous sources who claim to know what the President is or is not considering have no idea. When President Trump has an announcement about his plans for Jan. 20 he will let you know.”

Last week, NBC reported that Trump was possibly planning to announce his 2024 candidacy at the same time as Biden’s inauguration.

Thus far, there have been no official announcements regarding Donald Trump’s plan for inauguration day. However, I can all but guarantee you that it will be the most ridiculous, petty spectacle you’ve ever witnessed.
