Trump Issued A Statement After Biden’s Success With Vaccine Distribution: “If I Wasn’t President, You Wouldn’t Be Getting That Beautiful ‘Shot’ For 5 Years”

You knew this was coming.

This is unusual for us here, but this statement from Donald J. Trump is so absurd that I feel like we have to apologize for putting it in our article. But, we kind of need to highlight how mentally ill the former president is so that the U.S. never makes that mistake again. Amen.

President Joe Biden didn’t overpromise on battling the coronavirus pandemic, so now, he’s overperforming. In contrast, the former president consistently bragged about “turning the corner” while doing nothing, and that resulted in a massive underperformance by Donald J. Trump. Almost one year ago, Trump promised that COVID-19 would simply “go away,” and now over 539 thousand Americans have died from the disease.

So, now that President Biden is in office while hitting the ground running to fight the disease Trump surrendered to without putting up a fight, the former president wants credit for his successor’s hard work. Quelle surprise!

“I hope everyone remembers when they’re getting the Covid-19 (often referred to as the China Virus) vaccine, that if I wasn’t president, you wouldn’t be getting that beautiful ‘shot’ for 5 years, at best, and probably wouldn’t be getting it at all. I hope everyone remembers,” Trump said in a statement, according to The Independent.

We do remember, Donald. We remember that hundreds of thousands of Americans died from COVID-19 while you held super-spreader events. History will remember, too.

After Biden took office,  his administration noted that Trump’s team had left them with no roadmap to distribute the vaccine across the country, so they had to start from scratch.

When Biden entered the White House, he said that he wanted to see 100 million vaccinations administered in his first 100 days in office, and he has now surpassed that. Remember what I said above about underpromising vs. overpromising? Well, apparently, being a narcissistic prick didn’t help Trump very much while dealing with the pandemic he didn’t actually deal with. So, with Biden, the number of daily vaccinations administered has soared.

And somehow, that gives Donald a sad that Americans will see shots in their arms to protect them from the disease that he failed to protect them from.
