Trump Just Gave His “Personal Pastor” An Official Job At The White House

Apparently legit resumes aren't a thing anymore?

Donald Trump, the very same guy who peddled the claim that he “only hires the best” during his campaign days, has found it rather tricky since taking office to actually keep employees in his administration. He’s all the time either firing someone for toeing over whatever arbitrary line he’s set for the day or they’re jumping ship like drowning rats because they don’t want to find themselves stuck flipping burgers for the rest of eternity (because good luck getting a decent job after being associated with that mess).

Hell, most of the official positions that aren’t just sitting there unfilled have some poor schmuck with “acting” tacked to their job title stuck in there as a filler.

So since Trump can’t seem to figure out how to hire and keep real employees, he’s made a pretty bad habit out of hiring folks that have absolutely no authority or skills pertaining to the actual job, he just really likes them. I mean, seriously, Ivanka Trump has a government job.

And since he’s run out of kids that he can actually stand to be around (sorry, Tiffany) it seems he’s now resorting to folks outside of the Trump crime family syndicate, though equally as disgusting, to fill up some of the gaps in his administration.

According to reports today, Trump has handed his very own personal pastor an official White House job.

Paula White-Cain, a controversial “prosperity gospel” televangelist — those are the folks that preach that God will make you rich if you send their ministry enough money and if you’re poor it’s because you’re a sinner — has been placed by Trump in the Office of Public Liaison, a position that’s geared toward garnering support for the president from various critical special interest groups.

The New York Times reports that White’s “role will be to advise the administration’s Faith and Opportunity Initiative, which Mr. Trump established last year by executive order and which aims to give religious groups more of a voice in government programs devoted to issues like defending religious liberty and fighting poverty.”

White’s position is within the White House rather than the campaign. However, the Times was sure to note that while White isn’t working directly on Trump’s reelection campaign, without the support of the religious conservatives that she is working towards “his path to re-election would be significantly narrower.”

The Friendly Atheist has advised, “White has spent the past few years saying some states believe the Bible is ‘hate speech,’ that she had blessed the White House with ‘the superior blood of Jesus,’ that church members should vote Republican, and that opposing the president means opposing God.”

So basically, just what we needed. Another hair-brained, half-baked religious nut in the White House. Oh, joy.
