Trump Launches Attack Against Chicago Police Chief During Police Convention, Claims “Afghanistan Is A Safe Place By Comparison”

Is it time to take away his keys yet?

Donald Trump had himself a pretty bad night last night when he showed up fashionably late to Game 5 of the World Series after refusing to throw the ceremonial first pitch, only to be met with rambunctious rounds of boos and chants of “Lock him up!” from the crowd as soon as he was announced and his face was plastered on the Jumbotron.

And now that he’s giving an address to the International Association of Chiefs of Police it appears that he’s taking his frustrations out on Chicago Police Chief Eddie Johnson — who actually wasn’t even there.

During his speech at the police convention, Donald launched into an all-out attack against Johnson and the city of Chicago in general, ultimately claiming that Afghanistan was safer than Chicago.

“Chicago has the toughest gun laws in the United States,” Trump proclaimed. “That doesn’t seem to be working too well, does it? A lot of you people know exactly what I mean. But under Johnson’s leadership, they certainly don’t protect people.”

He then took a brief break from his attack on Johnson to draw a comparison between his impeachment and the debacle with Jussie Smollett who was accused of falsely claiming that he was attacked by Trump supporters.

“And he said MAGA country did it,” Donald exclaimed. “He said it’s a hate crime. It’s a hate crime. And it’s a scam. It is a real big scam just like the impeachment of your president is a scam!”

Then Trump veered back into his attacks against Chicago’s police chief, this time for his support of sanctuary cities.

“Eddie Johnson wants to talk about values,” Donald stated. “No, people like Johnson put criminals and illegal aliens before the citizens of Chicago and those are his values and frankly, those values to me are a disgrace.”

“It is embarrassing to us as a nation,” he continued. “All over the world, they’re talking about Chicago. Afghanistan is a safe place by comparison. It’s true.”

“I want Eddie Johnson to change his values and change them fast,” Trump ended.

Well, Donnie, we want Congress to change our president and change it fast.
